The CII Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has launched its 32nd Chapter in Ranchi to accelerate Jharkhand’s transition towards sustainable and resilient urban infrastructure. The launch event, held on September 6 at Radisson Blu Hotel, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and sustainability experts.

The state is committed to creating a policy environment that encourages green practices, fosters innovation, and prioritises citizen well-being.” He also indicated that existing government buildings, smaller projects, and affordable housing could be brought under green certification frameworks.

C Shekar Reddy, National Vice-Chairman, IGBC, noted that the chapter would enable Jharkhand’s real estate and infrastructure sectors to embrace sustainability as both an imperative and an opportunity.
