With a concession term of more than 90 years and a compelling regional proposition, it gives significant avenues of growth. They look forward to starting the facility for airline operators and the general public shortly.

Sindhudurg Airport, with the cost expense of nearly Rs 800 crore and concession over 90 years, is the first of its kind in the South Konkan Region, which is intended at building and improving air connectivity of the area with Western Maharashtra, southern states, Mumbai and finally to all areas of the country.

The airport will not only produce the passenger traffic, but also it will be a benefit for the economic development of the area as it will help and promote cargo transportation; produce direct as well as indirect employment and other business opportunities for the local people. It has the potential to grow into a cargo Hub of the Western Region as there is plentiful space for managing the cargo and can be expanded to satisfy the surging future needs.
