Expected Soon: Anand Vihar Flyover & Punjabi Bagh Road Projects

The Anand Vihar flyover and the Punjabi Bagh road corridor redevelopment projects are nearing completion, with officials anticipating their public use by the end of August and September, respectively. According to a report from Times Of India, civil work for both projects is nearly finished, and beautification efforts are currently ongoing at Anand Vihar. The Punjabi Bagh project, aimed at easing traffic in West Delhi, is also in its final stages.

However, the main flyover at Punjabi Bagh, which spans about 1.3 kilometres with six lanes between the ESI metro station and Club Road, is still under construction. The initial deadline of January has been extended several times, with the latest target now set for September.

A source involved in the project mentioned, "The Moti Nagar flyover was opened by the government in March, but the main section remains incomplete." Various challenges, including delays due to permission issues for tree cutting at the Anand Vihar flyover, have hindered the completion of side ramps and a pedestrian footpath, which are unlikely to be finished by the opening date.
