G R Infraprojects Wins Rs 14.54 Billion NHAI Contract in Gujarat

G R Infraprojects has been awarded a Rs 1,454 crore contract by the National Highways Authority of India to upgrade a highway in Gujarat. The contract value is equivalent to Rs 14.54 billion (bn) and will be recorded in the company’s order book. The assignment covers upgrade and strengthening works on the designated highway stretch and will be executed under the terms specified by the authority. The company will mobilise resources and manage project execution through its engineering and construction teams.

The National Highways Authority of India selected the firm following its standard procurement procedures and contractual framework. The project forms part of broader government initiatives to enhance arterial connectivity and road capacity within the state. Execution of the works is expected to involve coordination with local agencies and suppliers to meet technical and regulatory requirements. The contract represents a continuation of the firm’s focus on road infrastructure projects across various regions.

G R Infraprojects operates in the infrastructure sector with a portfolio of highway and civil engineering projects and a pipeline of ongoing assignments. The new contract will augment the firm’s order inflows and is likely to support revenue visibility during the execution period. The award reinforces the company’s strategic emphasis on core engineering, procurement and construction activities. Management will be required to oversee project delivery while maintaining safety, quality and timelines.

The project is expected to stimulate local demand for construction materials and labour during the execution phase and to improve transport links for communities and businesses. Improved highway capacity may facilitate smoother movement of goods and passengers and contribute to regional economic activity. The contract win underscores continued investment in road infrastructure by central agencies.
