Manipur CM Applauds NHIDCL for Completing Tamenglong-Mahur Road Stretch

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has commended the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for completing the long-awaited Tamenglong-Mahur road stretch. This achievement comes after nearly seven decades of neglect, marking a significant milestone in improving connectivity and infrastructure in Manipur's remote regions.

The Tamenglong-Mahur road project, spanning approximately 110 kilometres, holds strategic importance for enhancing transportation links between Manipur and Assam. It aims to facilitate easier access for local communities, boost economic activities, and promote tourism in the region.

The completion of this road stretch is expected to alleviate longstanding connectivity challenges faced by residents and traders, particularly during adverse weather conditions. It underscores the government's commitment to bridging infrastructural gaps and promoting inclusive development in Northeast India.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh expressed gratitude towards NHIDCL for their dedicated efforts in overcoming logistical and geographical hurdles to complete the project.
