GMRCL Invites Bids For Ahmedabad Metro Phase One Maintenance

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL) has invited bids for civil maintenance works on Ahmedabad Metro Phase One East-West Corridor. The open tender covers general upkeep of a viaduct and seven metro stations on the western section and carries an estimated contract value of Rs 25.8 mn. The contract duration is 24 months and the work is intended to preserve infrastructure and support uninterrupted services.

The tender is listed under number GMRC/CIVIL MAINTENANCE/WR/PH-1/2026 and is an open tender with a tender validity of 180 days. The earnest money deposit is Rs 0.258 mn and the tender fee is Rs 25,000; interested parties must submit bids by two July 2026 at 15:00 hrs, with technical bids scheduled to be opened at 15:30 hrs on the same day. The procurement process is expected to follow standard evaluation criteria.

The scope requires the contractor to conduct routine and remedial civil maintenance on the viaduct and the stations Sardar Patel Stadium, Commerce Six Road, Gujarat University, Gurukul Road, Doordarshan Kendra, Thaltej, and Thaltej Gam. The assignment expressly excludes Old High Court Station within the western reach section from Shahpur Ramp to Thaltej Gam dead end. Contractors will be required to co-ordinate with GMRCL to align maintenance activities with operational schedules.

The western section of the East-West Corridor serves key residential, educational and commercial zones and maintenance is presented as essential to sustain safe and reliable passenger operations.
