Railway Ministry approves final survey for new Nashik-Dahanu rail line

The Ministry of Railways has given the green light for the final location survey of the Nashik-Dahanu new Broad Gauge rail line, marking a significant step forward in enhancing rail connectivity in Maharashtra.

Dr Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, shared with the source that the survey for the 100 km rail line, which will connect Nashik to Dahanu via Trimbakeshwar and Vangaon, has been approved at a cost of Rs 25 million. This new line will link the major towns of Nashik and Dahanu in Palghar district, significantly improving transportation in the region.

"The Nashik-Dahanu rail line will not only bolster tourism by providing easy access to the Trimbakeshwar temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and Panchavati in Nashik, but it will also stimulate economic growth in the region," Dr Nila said. "This new connection will play a vital role in accelerating economic development, improving connectivity, and enhancing the travel experience for passengers across Maharashtra," he added. (Mid-day)
