Railways Deploys Exam Special Trains

To accommodate candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board examination on November 25 and 28, the Indian Railways has announced three special trains on select routes. These trains will operate between Patna-Ranchi, Barauni-Dhanbad, and Garwah Road-Bilaspur on November 24 and 27 to ensure smooth travel for exam aspirants.

ECR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra shared the schedules. The Patna-Ranchi examination special (03219/03220) will depart from Patna at 3 pm on November 24 and 27, reaching Ranchi by 11:45 pm the same day. The return journey will start from Ranchi at 11 pm on November 25 and 29, arriving in Patna at 7:45 am. This train will have 14 general coaches and stop at Jehanabad, Gaya, Koderma, Gomoh, Bokaro Steel City, and Muri on both journeys.

Similarly, the Barauni-Dhanbad special (03689/03690) will depart from Barauni at 2 pm on November 24 and 27, reaching Dhanbad by 10 pm. Its return journey will commence at 9 pm on November 25 and 29, arriving in Barauni at 5:30 am. Stoppages include Lakhisarai, Kiul, Jamui, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, and Chitranjan.

The Garwah Road-Bilaspur special (03695/03696) will leave Garwah Road at 6 am on November 24 and 27, reaching Bilaspur by 11 pm. The return trip starts at 8 pm on November 25 and 29, concluding at 11:30 am the next day. Key stops include Daltonganj, Barwadih, Latehar, Tori, Patratu, Barkakana, Muri, Tata, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.

In parallel, the Samastipur division conducted a mock drill at Saharsa station to simulate emergency responses. Participants included the 9th battalion of the NRDF, railway safety staff, and scouts and guides cadets. The drill aimed to enhance preparedness for accidents or mishaps on tracks, according to Samastipur PRO R K Singh.

The measures reflect the Indian Railways' commitment to passenger convenience and safety.
