RVNL Wins Civil Contract for Delhi Metro’s Golden Line Extension

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has declared Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) as the lowest bidder for the civil contract related to the viaduct and platform construction between Lajpat Nagar and Saket G Block under the Golden Line Extension (Contract D2C-02) of Phase IV.

The 8.385-km extension forms part of the 23.622-km Golden Line corridor running from Aerocity to Tughlakabad via 15 stations. The new contract covers a 7.298-km stretch and includes the construction of platforms at seven stations—Pushp Vihar, Saket District Court, Pushpa Bhawan, Chirag Delhi, GK-1, Andrews Ganj, and Lajpat Nagar.

DMRC had invited bids for this contract with a completion timeline of 1,095 days. Technical bids were opened on 25 April, followed by evaluation on 2 July, during which three of the five bidders qualified. Financial bids, also opened on 2 July, confirmed RVNL as the lowest bidder.

The scope of work includes partial design and construction of a 7.298-km viaduct and platform structures, along with pre-engineered building components across all seven stations along the corridor from Saket G Block to Lajpat Nagar.
