The ceremony was attended by Shri Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Communications & Rural Development; Shri Ponguru Narayana, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Shri S. The achievement was made possible under the leadership of Sri K. Kanna Babu, I.A.S., Commissioner, APCRDA, and Sri A. Bhargav Teja, I.A.S., Additional Commissioner, with technical design coordination by Sandeep Dixit, Chief Architect & Design Coordinator.

Mr. C Shekar Reddy, National Vice-Chairman, IGBC, said, “The inauguration of the APCRDA Project Office, the first government building in the region to achieve IGBC Net Zero Energy Design Certification, demonstrates Andhra Pradesh’s vision and determination to champion sustainability and climate-responsive development.”

Mr. Vijay Sai Meka, Chairman, IGBC Amaravati Chapter, praised APCRDA’s vision and proactive steps to align developments with IGBC Green Ratings, reinforcing Amaravati’s position as a frontrunner in India’s Net Zero and sustainable infrastructure movement.

Spread across 22,527 sq. m, the APCRDA Project Office stands as a model for climate-resilient urban growth, showcasing the state’s commitment to building Amaravati into a green, sustainable capital.
