The 20th edition of the CONSTRUCTION WORLD Architect and Builder Awards (CWAB) 2025 celebrated India’s most innovative architects, builders and developers, highlighting transformative design and construction that is shaping the nation’s future. The gala took place on September 4 at Mumbai’s Jio Convention Centre.A night of glamour and recognition began with the lamp lighting ceremony, conducted by Hafeez Contractor, Principal Architect at Architect Hafeez Contractor and Padma Bhushan awardee; Jairam Panch, Managing Director, Turner Projects; and Pratap Padode, Founder, along with Falguni Padode, Co-Founder, ASAPP INFO Global Group.A journey of two decadesSince its modest inception in 2006 at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai, CWAB has grown into India’s premier platform for celebrating excellence in the built environment. From hosting the Governor of Maharashtra in 2007 to consistently recognising regional and national talent, the awards have championed projects and individuals that set benchmarks for innovation and sustainability. This year, CWAB 2025 focused exclusively on Noteworthy Projects, ensuring that every path-breaking idea received its moment in the spotlight.Highlights Excellence was honoured across three broad categories — India’s Noteworthy Projects, Top Regional Architects and India’s Top Builders — alongside the India’s Wealth Creators segment. Projects were assessed by an eminent jury for their innovation, sustainability and imagination, underscoring how India’s construction landscape is evolving to meet the demands of infrastructure growth, technology-led design and youth-driven housing needs.Noteworthy ProjectsThe Noteworthy Projects category drew hundreds of entries nationwide, challenging the jury to shortlist and select the finest. As the jury noted, their role extended beyond evaluation: it was about recognising work that challenges convention, sets new benchmarks and leaves a meaningful impact. The jury comprised Manit Rastogi, Morphogenesis; Raj Lakhani, Managing Director, PERI; Juzer Kothari, Founder, Conserve Consultants; Dr Rajiv Mishra, JJ College of Architecture; Jairam Panch, COO, Turner International; and Mehul Parikh, President, Customer Service Group, Construction Chemicals, Pidilite Industries.Standout projects included County-107 (Residential – Buildings), Eldeco Center (Commercial), Mountain Shadows Resorts (Hospitality), Atal Sarovar at Rajkot Smart City (Miscellaneous), and Vidyashilp Academy (Institutional). In interiors, notable winners were RAN BAAS – The Palace (Hospitality), Gaur NYC Experience Centre (Commercial), and Solar Dome – The Renewable Energy Museum (Institutional). Celebrating visionariesThe Regional Top Architects category reflected design leadership across India, recognising Aeon Design & Development (North), Ayan Sen Architects (East), Crest Architects (South), Blocher Partner Studios and HM Architects (West). India’s Top Builders included Brigade Group, Hiranandani Group, Kalpataru, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, Raheja Universal, Rustomjee Group and Sobha. The India’s Wealth Creators category honoured AGI Infra, Ajmera Realty, Brigade Enterprises, Marathon Nextgen Realty and Mindspace REIT.Among India’s Top Architects, the awards celebrated Architect Hafeez Contractor, Bobby Mukherji & Associates, Morphogenesis, Sanjay Puri Architects, Somaya  Sampat, DSP Design Associates and others redefining the nation’s skylines. The evening resonated with the words of Falguni Padode: “Our goal is simple, yet powerful: to continue celebrating the individuals and projects that inspire us, and in doing so, motivate the next generation of architects, builders, and creators to leave their mark on the nation — and the world.”A legacy that inspires the futureAs the lights dimmed on CWAB 2025, the awards reaffirmed their role as more than a ceremony. They celebrated vision, innovation and the collective spirit of a community that continues to build not just structures, but India’s future.Partners in celebration: The event was supported by Gold Partner Turner & Otis, Silver Partner Dr. Fixit, Innovation Partner 3M, and Outdoor Media Partner Bright Outdoor Media.CWAB WinnersNational - ArchitectsArchitect Hafeez ContractorBiome Solutions -BangaloreBobby Mukherji & Associates CCBA DesignsCreative GroupDeependra Prasad Architects and PlannersDSP Design AssociatesEdifice ConsultantsGroup Seven Architects & PlannersIMK ArchitectsINI Design Studio MorphogenesisOpolis ArchitectsPG Patki ArchitectsPrem Nath and AssociatesSalient Sanjay Puri ArchitectsSthapati AssociatesUrban StudioUttam C Jain Architect and PlannersRSP Architects Planners and EngineersSomaya SampatRegional - ArchitectsAeon Design and DevelopmentAyan Sen Architects Urban Designers and PlannersBlocher Partner StudiosCrest ArchitectsDesignhaausFunktion DesignHM ArchitectsInfinitti Design StudioMorphlabPace ConsultantsRat[Lab] Studio LagomSunil Patil & AssociatesThe Grid ArchitectNational - BuildersRaheja UniversalHiranandani GroupKalpataruSobhaPrestige GroupBrigade GroupWadhwa Group Mindspace Business Parks REITRustomjee GroupNoteworthy - GeneralResidential - BuildingsCounty-107 Location: NoidaCommercialEldeco Center Location: New DelhiHospitalityMountain Shadows ResortsLocation: WayanadMiscellaneousAtal Sarovar, Rajkot Smart CityLocation: RajkotRetailOutdoor Connections - Luxury Living Amidst NatureLocation: BengaluruInstitutionalVidyashilp AcademyLocation: BengaluruResidential - Independent HomeNoteworthy - InteriorsHospitalityRan Baas The PalaceLocation: PatialaCommercialGaur NYC Experience CentreLocation: GhaziabadRetailBrune & Bareskin RetreatLocation: PunjabMiscellaneousCCAWLocation: DelhiResidentialExpressionsLocation: GujaratInstiturionalSolar Dome - The Renewable Energy MuseumLocation: KolkataRetailRajwada ReverieLocation: KolkataIndia’s Wealth CreatorsAGI Infra Ajmera Realty & Infra India Brigade EnterprisesMarathon Nextgen RealtyMindspace Business Parks REITPrestige Group
