Elan Awards Rs 11 Bn Contract to Leighton for Gurugram Project

NCR-based real estate developer Elan Group has awarded a Rs 11 billion construction contract to Leighton Asia, a part of Australia's CIMIC Group, for the development of Elan The Emperor, an ultra-luxury residential project in Sector 106, Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram.

The development, spread across nearly 5 million square feet of built-up area, is part of Elan’s 50-acre integrated township and is designed to achieve IGBC LEED Gold Certification, affirming its focus on sustainability and green building standards.

The contract includes significant civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works. Leighton Asia has previously been engaged by Elan Group for its other flagship projects — Elan The Presidential and Elan The Imperial. Combined, these contracts are worth approximately Rs 30 billion and cover 12.5 million square feet of built-up area.

Rakesh Kapoor, Chairman of Elan Group, said: “With this iconic development, we are shaping a new chapter in ultra-luxury living. Partnering with Leighton Asia once again reinforces our commitment to collaborate with the finest global expertise in delivering excellence at every level.”

Brad Davey, Managing Director of Leighton Asia, noted: “With over two decades of experience in India, Leighton Asia takes pride in setting benchmarks for quality and sustainability in large-scale residential developments. We are honoured to undertake this prestigious project.”

Juan Santamaria, Executive Chairman of CIMIC Group, added: “Securing further work for the Elan Group highlights Leighton Asia’s dedication to safety and operational excellence. We are proud to deliver another premium residential asset for India’s fast-growing urban population.”

This partnership further strengthens Elan Group’s position in the luxury residential segment and underscores the growing investor confidence in Gurugram’s Dwarka Expressway corridor.
