Berger Paints Looks To Strengthen Presence In Uttar Pradesh

Berger Paints is moving to strengthen its presence in smaller towns and rural markets of Uttar Pradesh as it seeks to expand in one of its fastest-growing regions. The initiative focuses on enhancing reach beyond established centres and building a more balanced geographical footprint across the state. Company sources indicated the effort forms part of a broader strategy to capture demand in emerging urban and semi-rural localities.

The company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abhijit Roy said the firm is expanding its footprint in areas where presence remains relatively limited and intends to deepen penetration beyond central Uttar Pradesh. He indicated the eastern and western parts of the state would receive greater attention through targeted distribution and sales initiatives. The approach is designed to complement existing strengths while addressing gaps in market coverage.

Berger Paints currently operates a network of more than 6,000 dealers across Uttar Pradesh and is working to further strengthen market reach by entering new areas and enhancing ground-level presence in smaller cities and rural markets. The dealer network is viewed as the primary channel for last-mile distribution and customer engagement as the company extends its product availability. Investment in local partnerships and on-the-ground support was cited as key to driving sustained penetration.

Executives expect the plan to bolster brand visibility and to support sales growth in a market that the company regards as strategically important. The expansion effort will proceed through incremental opening of territories and by reinforcing supply and service capabilities at the local level. The company intends to monitor performance closely and to adjust its deployment as it consolidates gains across the state.
