Colossus Infra Gets LoA For E and M Contract For PCMC Nigdi Corridor

Colossus Infra Projects has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for the electromechanical contract on the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Nigdi corridor of the Pune Metro. The award covers the design, supply and installation of traction power, station equipment and depot systems as part of the corridor programme. The announcement indicated the contract is central to enabling system integration and operational readiness for the corridor. The contract is positioned within broader efforts to expand mass rapid transit in the Pune metropolitan region.

Colossus Infra Projects, a firm active in infrastructure delivery, will coordinate with project authorities and other contractors to sequence works and mitigate interface risks. The scope will require testing and commissioning activities, supply chain coordination and compliance with local regulatory requirements. Project partners expect the contract to accelerate commissioning milestones and support urban transit capacity in the PCMC area. The company will also engage local vendors to meet schedules and to comply with localisation aims.

The issuance of the Letter of Award follows standard procurement procedures and will be subject to final contractual formalities and approvals before mobilisation. Colossus Infra Projects will be expected to mobilise resources and establish site management systems to align with safety and quality frameworks. Authorities noted that close coordination will be necessary to minimise urban disruption and to integrate testing windows with metro operations. Further works.

The contract award is expected to contribute to employment opportunities and to strengthen the local supply chain through equipment deliveries and services. Completion of electromechanical works will be a key enabler for trial runs and for the subsequent commencement of passenger services on the corridor. The announcement underlines ongoing investment in urban transport infrastructure and the role of specialised contractors in delivery. Stakeholders expect periodic progress updates and transparent reporting as works proceed across the corridor.
