Lemon Tree Hotel Bhubaneswar Opens in Two Phases

Lemon Tree Hotels opened Lemon Tree Hotel, Bhubaneswar on 14 May 2026, marking the group's second property in the city. The new hotel comprises 65 well-appointed rooms and will operate in two phases, with the first phase commencing on the opening date. The addition underscores the chain's continued expansion across eastern India.

Located in Bharatpur, a fast developing commercial and residential corridor, the hotel is positioned to serve business, leisure, medical and spiritual travellers. It lies close to SUM Hospital, major transit points and cultural landmarks such as Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves. The property offers convenient connections, being approximately eight km from Biju Patnaik International Airport and 11 km from Bhubaneswar Railway Station.

50 rooms alongside a multi-cuisine coffee shop branded Citrus Café, a pool bar and grill, banquet and conference spaces, a swimming pool and a fitness centre opened as part of the first phase. The remaining 15 rooms will be delivered in a subsequent phase. Company executives indicated that the location is chosen to address diversified demand from the city's evolving IT, healthcare and education ecosystems.

Lemon Tree Hotels describes itself as one of India's leading hospitality companies with seven distinct brands that span upper upscale to midscale and leisure segments. The group operates 130+ hotels across 80+ cities and maintains a pipeline of 130+ upcoming properties, while the wider portfolio exceeds 250 properties when operational and upcoming assets are combined. The brand said it will continue to pursue high visibility markets that offer steady business and leisure travel potential.

The company emphasised that the Bhubaneswar opening supports its strategy to deepen presence in regional hubs and to provide organised hospitality to a resilient mix of travellers across commercial and medical segments. Senior management said it would monitor demand patterns and adjust capacity and services accordingly.
