MIC Electronics Secures Rs 1,140 Million Project For Chhattisgarh Centre

MIC Electronics has secured a Rs 1,140 million (mn) project to establish a Common Facility Centre in Chhattisgarh. The project value corresponds to Rs 114 crore. The company said the initiative forms part of its infrastructure expansion plans.

The facility is intended to provide shared infrastructure and services to smaller manufacturers and service providers, including processing, testing and storage. By centralising select capabilities, the centre is expected to reduce individual capital expenditure for users and improve access to technological resources. It may also facilitate access to quality assurance and packaging facilities that smaller units often lack.

The project will involve the construction and equipping of premises to host manufacturing and support activities and the provision of operational services. The company indicated that the centre would offer capacity building and technical support to local enterprises. The operational model typically includes shared machinery, common utilities and administrative support to reduce overheads for tenants.

The investment is likely to have wider economic effects in the area by creating opportunities for ancillary businesses and service providers. Local employment generation and skill development are typical outcomes associated with such infrastructure projects. Such projects often attract suppliers and logistics providers looking to serve consolidated clusters of manufacturers.

MIC Electronics described the project as aligned with its strategy to expand its industrial footprint and support regional manufacturing hubs. The company said it will continue to engage with relevant authorities and potential users to finalise operational arrangements. The announcement noted the company’s intent to monitor impact and report progress in subsequent disclosures.
