MIC Electronics Secures Rs 1,140 Million Project For Chhattisgarh Centre

MIC Electronics has secured a Rs 1,140 million (mn) project to establish a Common Facility Centre in Chhattisgarh. The project value corresponds to Rs 114 crore. The company said the initiative forms part of its infrastructure expansion plans.

The facility is intended to provide shared infrastructure and services to smaller manufacturers and service providers, including processing, testing and storage. By centralising select capabilities, the centre is expected to reduce individual capital expenditure for users and improve access to technological resources. It may also facilitate access to quality assurance and packaging facilities that smaller units often lack.

The project will involve the construction and equipping of premises to host manufacturing and support activities and the provision of operational services. The company indicated that the centre would offer capacity building and technical support to local enterprises. The operational model typically includes shared machinery, common utilities and administrative support to reduce overheads for tenants.

The investment is likely to have wider economic effects in the area by creating opportunities for ancillary businesses and service providers.
