India’s airports to be infused with Rs 980 billion over next 5 years

Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other private Airport Developers have targeted a capital outlay of approximately Rs. 980 billion in the airport sector over the next five years for expansion and modification of existing terminals, new terminals, and runway strengthening, according to Minister of State for Civil Aviation Gen VK Singh.

Capital expenditures in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad have been budgeted at Rs 105.50 billion, Rs 135.52 billion, Rs 62.88 billion, and Rs 13.83 billion, respectively. Durgapur-Rs 6.70 billion, Shirdi-Rs 3.20 billion, Pakyong-Rs 5.53 billion, Kannur-Rs 23.42 billion, Kalaburagi-Rs 1.75 billion, Orvakal-Rs 1.87 billion, Sindhudurg-Rs 5.20 billion, Kushinagar-Rs 4.48 billion, and Donyi Polo, Itanagar-Rs 6.46 billion are the project costs.
