IRCON lowest bidder for Rs 138 cr in railway signalling projects

Under the Indian Line of Credit, IRCON International Limited was the lowest bidder in railway signalling projects floated by the Ministry of Transport Services Management, Sri Lanka for Design, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Signalling System from Maho Junction to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.

The project is estimated to be worth USD 15.5 million, or Rs 114 crore. The project will take approximately one year to complete.

The company was also the lowest bidder in the Ministry of Railways of Bangladesh's Railway Signalling Projects for the construction of Non-Interlocked Color Light Signalling System for all nine stations, as well as the construction of a Telecommunication System with Optical Fibre in connection with the construction of the Khulna-Mongla Port Rail Line Project. The project is worth approximately BDT 28 crore or approximately Rs 24 crore. The project will take about six months to complete.

Ircon International Ltd closed at Rs 46.90 per piece on the BSE on Monday, up to Rs 0.3 or 0.64% from its previous close of Rs 46.60 per piece.
