90% of sewerage, infra work done in Smart City

Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) announced that significant strides have been made in the sewerage and road infrastructure projects across Panaji, with completion rates reaching 90%. Notably, central Panaji, Fontainhas, Mala, and the Miramar-Caranzalem area stand out with completion rates of 99%, while St Inez and Ribandar closely follow at 97% and 96%, respectively. However, Altinho trails behind with 78% of its projects finalised.

In central Panaji, IPSCDL has achieved the installation of 7.4km of sewerage pipeline, with 250 out of 251 manholes completed. Additionally, road infrastructure spanning 3.5km has been finished, with ongoing efforts for restoration. Similarly, St Inez has seen the completion of the entire 3km sewerage pipeline and 72 out of 75 manholes. Road construction is nearing completion, with just 150m left to finish.

Ribandar boasts a fully installed 9.6km sewerage pipeline, complemented by the construction of 280 out of 300 manholes. Roadwork covering 4km has been accomplished, with restoration work on-going on a 1km stretch. Fontainhas reports the successful completion of a 2.2km sewerage pipeline project, along with all 73 manholes. Efforts are now focused on road restoration. In Mala, a 3.3km stretch of sewerage pipeline is fully operational, with 109 out of 110 manholes constructed. Road restoration efforts are also in progress.

Similarly, in the Miramar-Caranzalem area, a 2.8km sewerage pipeline has been completed, along with 89 out of 90 manholes. Road restoration is actively underway.
