OIL Green Energy Signs Joint Venture With Hindustan Waste Treatment

OIL Green Energy (OIL Green) and Hindustan Waste Treatment (Hindustan Waste) have signed a joint venture agreement to develop integrated waste management and renewable energy projects. The partnership will focus on converting municipal and industrial waste into energy and value?added products.\n\nThe joint venture will combine OIL Green's experience in energy project development with Hindustan Waste's capabilities in waste processing and treatment. The partners will identify sites for pilot projects and develop waste-to-energy facilities that produce electricity and recovered materials. The collaboration is intended to promote a circular economy approach to urban and industrial waste streams.\n\nThe JV will pursue necessary regulatory approvals and environmental clearances and will engage with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance and community acceptance. Financing options will include project-level debt, equity contributions from partners and potential public-private partnership structures. Technical implementation will prioritise modular technologies that can be scaled across regions.\n\nThe project is designed to reduce landfill dependence and lower greenhouse gas emissions associated with unmanaged waste. It will also seek to create local employment opportunities through construction, operations and maintenance activities. The partners will integrate monitoring systems to track performance and environmental outcomes.\n\nBy combining domain expertise the joint venture aims to support national sustainability and waste management objectives and to contribute to the energy transition. The companies will evaluate further collaborations and expansion opportunities in other municipalities and industrial clusters. Progress updates will be issued as projects move through approvals and implementation stages.\n\nThe partnership will also place emphasis on research and development to adapt technologies to local feedstocks and climatic conditions. Capacity building and training programmes will be established for local staff and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations. Stakeholder engagement will include outreach to municipal bodies, waste generators and potential off-takers of energy and recovered materials.
