Indian Railways Extends 3 Maharashtra Trains to UP, Jharkhand Temporarily

To maintain uninterrupted rail connectivity amid ongoing infrastructure upgrades, Indian Railways has temporarily extended three train services due to significant construction and renovation work at Gorakhpur Junction, a major station in the North Eastern Railway zone. These changes, which involve alterations in routes and schedules, will be in effect until the end of 2025.

Godan Express (11055/11056)
The Godan Express, operating between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai and Gorakhpur, will now terminate at Gonda instead of Gorakhpur. This revised route will remain in effect until December 7, 2025. Train 11055 will depart from Mumbai LTT at 10:55 am and reach Gonda at 11:00 pm the next day. The return service (11056) will leave Gonda at 3:10 am and arrive at Mumbai LTT at 3:30 pm the following day.

Mumbai LTT–Azamgarh Superfast Express (20103/20104)
The Mumbai LTT–Gorakhpur–LTT Superfast Express has been extended to operate between Mumbai LTT and Azamgarh instead of Gorakhpur. This change applies to departures until December 6, 2025, from Azamgarh, and until December 5, 2025, from Mumbai LTT. Train 20103 will leave Mumbai LTT at 5:23 am and arrive in Azamgarh at 3:15 pm on the second day of travel. The return train (20104) will depart from Azamgarh at 6:50 pm and reach the Mumbai region at 4:35 am on the third day.

Mumbai LTT–Dhanbad Summer Special (03380/03379)
To meet rising passenger demand, Central Railway has extended the Dhanbad Special Fare Summer Special service with 10 additional trips. Train 03380 (LTT–Dhanbad Weekly Special), originally scheduled to end service on June 26, 2025, will now operate between July 3 and July 31, 2025, adding five trips. The return train (03379) will run from Dhanbad to LTT between July 1 and July 29, 2025, also with five additional trips.

There will be no changes to the timings and halts for any of the trains mentioned. Passengers have been advised to check detailed schedules and station stoppages on the official enquiry portal or via the NTES app.
