MAJOR Unveils OPTIMUMWIRE Thermo Screen for High-Heat Sites

MAJOR will debut the OPTIMUMWIRE Thermo Screen at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2026 and visitors can see the product at Booth C32269 in the Las Vegas Convention Centre’s Central Hall. Engineered for extreme heat environments, the Thermo Screen delivers reliable performance in demanding applications such as asphalt recycling, hot clinker and quicklime screening and mineral processing. The advanced design withstands temperatures over 2,192 degrees Fahrenheit (1,200 degrees Celsius) and helps operations maintain uptime and reduce costly maintenance.

The Thermo Screen eliminates heat related blinding, pegging and clogging by creating a self cleaning action that sustains flow and reduces interruptions. One asphalt production plant reported up to 35 per cent higher throughput and 40 per cent lower maintenance costs after replacing traditional screens with Thermo Screens on all decks, and the upgrade also improved screen media durability. Bernard Betts, president of MAJOR, said the Thermo Screen extends the company’s expertise to high heat applications so operations can work with a single trusted screen media provider across an entire site.

Traditional constructions use polyurethane to connect wires in tensioned and modular screen media, but polyurethane can melt in high heat and reduce performance. To overcome that challenge, MAJOR developed a screen media option that connects using its proprietary OPTIMUMWIRE, which the company produces in house and does not alter in composition, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance over time. The upgraded design reportedly provides consistent performance regardless of weather or material challenges and reduces heat related failures.

The OPTIMUMWIRE Thermo Screen expands MAJOR’s product line alongside its FLEX-MAT Tensioned and FLEX-MAT Modular screen media and the company’s traditional woven wire, offering producers a complete screening solution. MAJOR also provides on site screening performance assessment and training seminars on screen maintenance and screening efficiency to help producers increase screening performance and profitability. The company is a Haver & Boecker company and prospective customers can learn more at www.majorflexmat.com.
